literally dug themselves out harm's way and the legendary Cu chi tunnels are
the result. The tunnel could be as small as 80cm wide and 80cm high were
sometimes four levels deep, vent shafts (to disperse smoke and aromas from
underground ovens) were camouflaged by thick grass and termites' nests. The
network included innumerable trap doors, especially constructed living

tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and feel of what
underground life during the war must have been like.
