Sapa is  a must-see on any northern Vietnam itinerary. On a clear day you will be treated to views of steeply terraced rice fields, towering verdant ridgelines, primitive mud-thatched villages, raging rivers and astounding waterfalls. Reaching the splendid Sapa has never been more appealing: travel in style on board the luxurious Victoria Express Train. The Victoria Express Train features one dining carriage and two sleeping carriages to make your traveling experience a most comfortable one.

Daily Departure with English/ French speaking guide

Located at the height of 1,500 meters above sea level in the Far North of Vietnam, facing the hazy blue peak of Fan Xi Pang- the roof of Indochina, home of 6 ethnic minorities with unique culture, refreshing climate and vaguely Alpine landscape struck a nostalgic chord, beautiful Muong Hoa valley featured with terraced rice fields cut by fast-flowing streams and especially friendly and hospitable people here, breathtaking Sapa draws many people come here to experience a great adventure memorable for many years coming in their lifetime.

Day 1: Hanoi- Sapa

You are free on your own day in Hanoi then at 8.30 pm our guide and driver will transfer you from your hotel to Hanoi railway station to take overnight train. The Deluxe King Express leaves Hanoi at 21.55pm.

Day 2: Sapa (B, L)

Our guide and driver are waiting for you at Lao Cai railway station. Your train comes to Lao Cai approximately at 6.00 am. Our guide and driver will accompany you to Sapa far from Lao Cai 34km along the steep, terraced hillsides of the Hoang Lien son mountain range; the breathtaking view on the way is fantastic. You will have breakfast at hotel then free at leisure to freshen up. Then at 10.00 am we take walking tour around the town. Visit Stone Cathedral built by French, which has over 100 years old. The other interesting place is Sapa market where local ethnic minorities walk over mountains and forest to exchange handmade products. Then walk down to Cat Cat village, directly below Sapa and in the Muong Hoa Valley, home of H'mong people. This is also good chance to communicate with local ethnic minorities and understand their culture and daily life and have a great fun with these people by their honest and friendliness. Look out for tubs of indigo dye, used to color the hemp cloth typical of H'mong dress. Cat Cat waterfall is just below the village, site of hydroelectric station and now pleasant place to rest before tackling the homeward back journey. Overnight at Victoria Sapa Resort.

Day 3: Sapa (B, L)

This morning, at 9:00 am we leave Sapa town for Lao Cai and Tavan village. One of the most enjoyable is follow the main tracks from the Auberge Southdown the Muong Hoa valley for 9 km to a wooden suspenseion bridge a Tavan village on the opposite of the river. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Ta van actually consists of 2 villages: immediately across the bridge is Giay community while further uphill to the left is a Zao village. From here, going to west to reach Lao Cai. Enjoy picnic on the way then in the afternoon our chauffer will take us back Sapa for overnight.

Day 4: Sapa- Hanoi (B)

This morning, we drive to Ta Phin village; a picturesque thirty-minute drive North of Sapa will bring you to the village of Taphin. Set within a valley with a touring peaking mountain at one end, this village is alive with the daily life of the Kinh, Red Dao and Black Hmong people.

The valley floor is layered with rice paddies and dotted with 20 small home communes. Above them are some smaller communes and a patchwork of corn and vegetable fields.

All around Taphin there is an energy generated by the daily life of the locals here. The Red Dao, distinguished by their impressive headdress, and the Black H'mong, in their shiny indigo-dyed clothes have lived here for almost 400 hundred years. Drive back Sapa, free at leisure and in the late afternoon, our guide and driver will accompany you to Lao cai town for overnight Luxury Victoria Express departing at 21.15pm. You will arrive in Hanoi at approximately at 5.30 am the following morning. Transfer on your own back hotel in town.
