DETAILS ITINERARIES
Day 1:
Arrival Sai Gon (D)
Welcome to
Vietnam. Upon arriving at Tan Son Nhat airport, our guide and driver meet
and transfer you to your hotel. Free at leisure or touring around Sai Gon.
In the evening, taste cuisine at the most super restaurant in Sai Gon.
Day 2: Sai Gon and Cu Chi full day (B, L)
In
the morning, we pick you up at 8.30 am at lobby of your hotel. We have an
excursion to the famous Cu Chi tunnels. This network of
tunnels, which stretches for over 200 km, became legendary during the 1960s.
The Cu Chi tunnels played a vital part in the U.S.-Vietnam War in that they
allowed the Viet Cong to control a large rural area only 30 to 40 km from
Sai Gon. At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Sai Gon to the
Cambodian border. The network, parts of which were several levels deep,
included innumerable trap doors, specifically constructed living areas,
storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and
kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction
giving the visitor a unique experience and feel of what underground life
during the war must have been like. The tunnels have been widened for our
benefit (otherwise, we would not be able to enter them!) For those
interested there is even the opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or
MK16 at the nearby rifle range.
Then in
the afternoon, coming back Sai Gon to visit the hustle and bustle city after
having lunch in town. Do not miss the bustling Ben Thanh Market
- a fantastic place for bargains of every kind! There are several
interesting sights in Ho Chi Minh City. The War Remnants Museum
has a wealth of images from the wars, the most moving being a
gallery entitled 'Requiem' which is dedicated to Vietnamese and foreign
journalists and photographers who perished during the French and American
conflicts. The Reunification Palace was the former
residence of the President of South Vietnam until April 30, 1975 when the
North Vietnamese tanks came crashing through the front gates, bringing the
U.S.-Vietnam War to a dramatic end. Close to the palace, some of the best
examples of French colonial architecture are represented in the forms of
Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office.
Day 3: Mekong day trip (B,L)
Touring the orchards, paddy fields and swamplands of the Mekong
Delta, you could be forgiven for thinking you have stepped onto the pages of
geography textbook. This is the biggest Vietnam's rice bowl, an agricultural
miracle that pumps out 38 percent of the country's annual food crops. For
Vietnamese, the region is known as Cuu Long- Nine Dragons, a reference to
nine tributaries of the Mekong River, which wanders through six countries.
One of the most enjoyable ways to experience riverine life is on boat trip
along canals, visiting islands and biking in the countryside...
Leave Ho
Chi Minh at 8.30 am for lush My Tho today. Seventy
kilometers out of Ho Chi Minh City, a left fork marks the turning to My Tho,
an amiable market town that nestles on the North bank of the Mekong River's
northernmost strand, The Tien Giang or Up River. We embark our boat right
after arriving in Tien Giang wharf then start the amazing trip today.
Visiting honeybee farms, orchards, islands. Having lunch in local family in
Ben Tre and then has a rest later on or biking around countryside. This is
also good chance to visit coconut production at home business here. We also
have a great fun to visit bonsai garden before coming back Sai Gon.
Day 4: Sai Gon -Ha Noi
half day city tour (B,L)
This morning, we farewell the busy city to airport flying to Ha Noi.
Upon arriving at Ha Noi airport, our guide and driver will transfer you to
your hotel in town. Then we enjoy half-day city tour in the most beautiful
in Vietnam. We start our half day at either Ethnology or History
Museum. They are both finest ones in Vietnam especially Museum of
Ethnology in down town far from central 12 km. Then come back to enjoy 1
hour cyclo around Old quarter with great fun. The Old Quarter's
street names date back fine centuries to when the area was divided among 36
artisan's guilds patron spirit. Even today, many streets specialize so some
degree and a surprising number are still dedicated to the original craft or
its mordent equivalent.
Visit Ngoc Son temple on Ho Guom lake - the heart of Ha Noi and
then unique Water puppet show in the late afternoon.
Transfer you back to your hotel.
Day 5: Ha Noi- Ha Long
bay day trip (B,L)
Ha Long bay, land of legend and splendid natural
beauty is one of must- see places in Vietnam. Her charming allures much more
people to the Northern coast of Vietnam. Thousand of lime stone islands just
out of the emerald sea, sculpted into such as bizarre shapes as to invite
comparisons with anything from chickens and dragons to champagne corks or
even Dina sours.
Departs
Ha Noi at 8.00 am for Ha Long bay through Red River Delta. It takes you
around 3.5 hours driving to Ha Long city. Upon arriving to Ha Long wharf,
our cruise staffs will meet you and we embark the boat starting 4-hour
cruise. Then Sumptuous lunch is served on boat. Navigating the silent,
secretive channels, past bobbing clusters of fishing boats and stopping to
scramble through ones of the most beautiful grottoes in Ha Long - Thien Cung
and Dau Go caves that is a witness of Vietnam glorious victory as well. We
fare well Ha Long and come back Ha Noi at roughly 7.30 pm.
Day 6: Ha Noi Departure (B)
Free at leisure then pick up at your hotel transfer to Ha Noi airport
flying back home.
