as the ‘American War' officially ended when tank number 843 of the North
Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time, the
residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. The next destination
is War Remnants Museum in which there is a poignant
display of the futility of war. We also should not miss Notre Dame
Cathedral and Old Post Office which was built between 1877 and
1883. This is one of the best examples of classical French colonial
architecture. The last and not least, the busiest Ben Thanh Market
is very popular with tourists, primarily due to its central location. It has
a wide selection of goods ranging from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk Ao
Dais. Our tours finishes at 5.00 am at your hotel. Enjoy your leisure later

This morning, we pick you up at 8.30 am at your hotel. Then we enjoy
a half day excursion to famous Cu Chi tunnels.
It is far from Saigon 40km to the westward of Saigon and stretches around
250km. During American war, the villagers around the
district of Cu chi supported a substantial Vietcong presence. Faced with
American attempts to neutralize them, they quite literally dug themselves
out harm's way and the legendary Cu chi tunnels is the result. The tunnel
could be as small as 80cm wide and 80cm high were sometimes four level deep,
vent shafts ( to disperse smoke and aromas from underground ovens) were
camouflaged by thick grass and termites' nests. The network
included innumerable trap doors, especially constructed living areas,
storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and
kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction
giving the visitor a unique experience and feel of what underground life
during the war must have been like. For those interested there's even the
opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle
range. We come back hotel after Cu chi tunnels visit then
free at leisure to go shopping or walking around the city.

among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people.
