Hue City Tour

Hue is inevitably one of Vietnam’s pre-eminent tourist destinations. It is small, peaceful city, full of lakes, canals and lush vegetation, all celebrated in countless romantic outpourings by its much esteemed poetic fraternity. It also has retained an unique cultural identity with many famous Royal works left such as Kings’ Tomb Complex, Imperial City and Forbidden Citadel and many pagodas as well.

At 8:30 a.m, you will be greeted at the hotel by our driver and guide. Some of the "must see places" for today are the Citadel and Forbidden City. Built in the early nineteenth century, The Imperial City contains administrative offices, parks and dynastic temples with the royal palaces of the Forbidden city. Now some parts are being restored to their former magnificence and constitute Hue’s prime tourist attraction. Then we drive along the romantic Perfume River to reach the charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda). You will enjoy a great view on the Perfume River and surrounding area. Thien Mu Pagoda is considered as the symbol of Hue, and of Buddhism in Vietnam.  

Another highlight is a boat trip on the beautiful Perfume River. We embark Dragon Boat at the foot of Thien Mu Pagoda and experience peaceful moments, soaking  in the beauty of mother nature. Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded with ancient tombs of emperors past, and visits to the most beautiful tombs will be included in our itinerary today. Lunch will be served on boat while cruising. We will cruise further to the ornate Minh Mang's tomb complex, one of the finest in the city. We drive back to the centre Hue for overnight. This day trip ends at your hotel at around 6 p.m.
